UseDrive
Drive
Store, organize and share your files, folders and other Items in one place.
Drive is where all your Items are kept: folders, uploaded files, and what you make in other apps, such as databases, forms and web maps.
Open Drive
Open the Launcher and click Drive. The app opens at My drive.
Parts of the screen
The menu on the left has three places.
| Menu | What is in it |
|---|---|
| My drive | Items you own. See Folders and new Items |
| Shared with me | Items of other people that were shared with you. See Share |
| Trash | Items you deleted that you can still restore. See Trash |
At the top is the Search in Drive box for searching. Under it is a bar that shows which folder you are in, and at its end is an i button that opens Details and Activity.
Use the list
- Click to select. Hold Ctrl and click to select several Items. On a Mac, use Command instead of Ctrl.
- Double-click to open.
- Right-click to see the commands you can use on that Item.
- Click the column heading Name or Last modified to sort.
- Scroll down to load more Items.
What you can do depends on your access
You see only Items you own or that someone shared with you. The commands you see on a right-click depend on your access level on that Item. See Access levels.
If Drive does not let you create some kinds of Item, ask your administrator.
