Integrity of the log
Check that no one edited or deleted the audit log, and see failed sign-ins.
This page helps you check that the audit log is still complete and no one edited or deleted it.
The integrity chip
The chip at the top right shows the result of the last check. The platform checks by itself once a day.
| Chip | What it means |
|---|---|
| Verified | The log is complete, and no one edited it |
| Tampering detected | A problem was found. See below |
| Not verified yet | There is no result yet |
Check it yourself
- Click the chip at the top right. The Audit log status panel opens.
- Click Verify now.
- Wait until the chip and Checked change to the new result.
If tampering is detected
The status panel shows a red message in English, for example "seq 120…122 missing". Write that message down and tell your administrator at once.
Delivery
The Delivery part of the panel gives the number of Activities that are Waiting and that Failed to record. If Failed to record is more than zero, the number is red. Tell your administrator.
Failed sign-ins in 24 hours
The bottom of the panel has two lists, By user and By address. Each list shows the 5 with the most failed sign-ins. Click a name or an IP address to see those Activities in the table.
A name that comes from the sign-in page is a long string of unreadable characters. See Read an Activity.
How long the log is kept
The platform keeps Activities for 365 days, unless the administrator set something else. Older Activities are gone, and can no longer be searched or exported.
