  1. Click the green New database icon next to the search box in the left sidebar.
  2. Set the Name.
  3. To keep it in a folder, click the Location box, choose the folder, then click Select.
  4. Click Create.

  2. Set the Name.
  3. Choose the Item type.
  4. Click Create.

The new item is in the database but is not opened for you. Next, add fields or import data. You must be an Organizer or higher on the database. See Who can do what.

Open an item

Double-click a database or table in the left sidebar, or right-click it and choose Open. The item opens in a new tab. Click x on the tab to close it.

See the items in a database

Open a database to see the items inside, with their Name, Owner and Last modified.

  • Click the Name or Last modified column heading to sort.
  • Type a name in the Search in box to find an item.
  • Hold Ctrl or Command and click to choose several items, or hold Shift and click to choose a range.
  • Right-click to open the menu for the chosen items.

Rename, copy, move, share and delete

Right-click an item in the left sidebar or in the database, then choose a command. The menu only has the commands your role allows.

Rename

Choose Rename, change the Name, then click OK.

Make a copy

Choose Make a copy. The copy is in the same database and has all the records. The message that appears says Copy of <name>, but the copy's real name is <name> - Copy. You cannot copy a whole database.

Move to

Choose Move to, choose the destination, then click Select. Tables, views and collections can only be moved to another database. A database can only be moved to a folder.

Share

Choose Share. The share window is the same as in Drive. See Share.

Delete

Choose Delete, then click Delete in the Delete? window. The item goes to the Trash in Drive and can still be restored. See Trash. If you delete a database, the items inside go to the Trash too.

Copy ID

Click the copy icon next to the item's name in the toolbar. Hover over the icon to see Copy ID, then the message "<ID>" has been copied appears. Use it when another app or the API asks for the item's ID.
