Filter what a layer shows

Make a layer show only the records that match a condition, or apply a style to only some records

There are two places for filters. A filter in the Filters tab hides the records that do not pass from the map. A style's filter makes that style apply to only some records.

Add a filter to a layer

  1. Click the layer name, then open the Filters tab.
  2. Click Add a filter.
  3. In the Filter builder window, set the filter's Name.
  4. Build the condition. See Build a condition.
  5. Click Done.

The map shows only the records that pass the condition. The Filters tab is only there for layers from Drive and for PM tile layer layers that are vector.

Build a condition

  1. Choose the Field to filter on.
  2. Choose the Decision, such as Equal or Not equal. For a number, date or time there are also Greater than, Greater than or equal, Less than and Less than or equal.
  3. Enter the Value to compare with.

If there are several conditions, choose Match all when a record must pass every one, or Match any when passing one is enough. Click the plus sign, Add a filter, to add a condition, or click Add a group to nest another group of conditions.

Turn on, turn off, edit and delete filters

  • Click the switch on a filter's row to turn it off for now without deleting it.
  • Click the pencil to change the condition.
  • Click the bin to delete the filter.

If several filters are on at once, a record must pass all of them to show on the map.

Filter a style

Use this when you want one layer to have several colours by the value in a field, for example a colour for each status.

  1. Open the Styles tab, then click the funnel at the end of the style's row.
  2. In the Filters window, click Add a filter and build a condition the same way as for a layer filter.
  3. Click Done.

For example, add two Fill styles. Filter the first on Status Equal ปกติ, and the second on Status Equal เฝ้าระวัง. Then set a different Fill color on each.

Layers that cannot be filtered

ArcGIS feature layers, OGC WFS layers, rasters and vector tiles from Tile URL (auto-detect) have no Filters tab. But a vector tile's styles can still be filtered if the style's row has the funnel.
